Lumicene® 22ST05 Polyethylene for Blown Film Grade

Picture Polyethylene Lumicene 22ST05

The Lumicene® Supertough family is a breakthrough for multilayer film structures that embraces the industry need for easy to process, high-performance downgauging solutions for the industrial, food and personal care/hygiene sectors. Thanks to its downgauging potential, outstanding mechanical properties and ease of processability, Supertough 22ST05 opens up new development prospects for the fabrication of large-width films. They are ideal for agriculture, transportation and protection applications.

The Total Ecosolutions Advantage

Lumicene® 22ST05 polyethylene is obtained by polymerizing ethylene using a metallocene catalyst. Its unique molecular structure offers an excellent stiffness/processability balance, thereby downgauging polyethylene film 30% compared to a standard film of 150 μm manufactured using Ziegler-Natta or chromium catalysts or free radical initiators, for the same properties.

The Environmental Performance

Picto Resources

30% reduction in non-renewable resources consumption

Picto Energy

30% reduction in energy consumption

30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions

For every 1,000 tons of Lumicene® 22ST05 polyethylene used, the resultant savings are around 70 terajoules and 3,400 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
